Attack on Titan: How did Eren get the Founding Titan?

The fourth season of the Attack on Titan anime series really presents a much darker feel than the previous seasons. 

And there are also many surprises that are far more powerful than the previous season. 

If previously everything focused on human efforts to fight for their safety from the Titan attack and also how they were doing politics, now everyone is fighting to survive the attack of Eren Jaeger.

Eren became the center of attention of the story in this last season, all because of the power of the Founding Titan in him. 

There are still some fans of the series who may still feel confused, how then Eren Jaeger can have the power of the Founding Titan, the strongest power compared to other Titans.

How Eren Gets Founding Titan

Broadly speaking, and briefly, Eren inherited the power of the Founding Titan from his father, Grisha Jaeger. 

However, as many have expected, of course there are other things that also affect. In the second season, we find out through Rod Reiss and Historia that Grisha Jaeger has killed the entire Rod Reiss family.

In that incident, Grisha also ate the owner of the Founding Titan's power, Freida Reiss. 

As a result of this, Grisha has stolen the power of the Founding Titan from the Reiss family, which has been passed down from generation to generation. 

But, again, that's not all there are interesting facts about Grisha and also the power of the Founding Titan.

In the third season, we then get an explanation of Grisha's past life while still at Marley. 

Turns out, it's not only the power of the Founding Titan that lies within Grisha. 

He also has the Attack Titan power, which he inherited from the figure of Eren Kruger, one of the Eldian Restorationists in Marley.

So, when Eren inherited the power of the Founding Titan from his father, Eren not only inherited one Titan power, but two at once. 

Eren then shows his ability to control the Titans even in his human form, when he meets the Titan who ate his mother, Dina Fritz. What is surprising is that Dina Fritz was Grisha's first wife, before marrying Eren's mother, Carla Jaeger.

This fact provides an explanation that a person is able to have the power of more than one Titan in his body, and also use the abilities of these Titans, as practiced by Eren. In the fourth season of the first half yesterday, Eren got another Titan power, the Warhammer Titan.

The Importance of Founding Titan

As the story progresses, slowly we finally get a clear picture of the world in the series and also how the struggles of residents around the world. 

The theme of "Freedom" which initially became the center or core of the story, turned into something more complex, realistic, and dark.

History is manipulated and fabricated in order to maintain power. 

Through various memories and memories passed down from generation to generation, many things are known such as the origins of the inhabitants of Eldia, Subjects of Ymir, and also the inheritance of the Founding Titan which was passed down to the royal family.

Eldian is a race that has the ability to turn into a Titan when injected with liquid behind the Titan. 

The Founding Titan itself is one of the nine Titans that are fragments of Ymir Fritz's soul after he died. The Founding Titan itself is believed to be far greater than any Titan.

This then explains why only certain people – specifically those with Eldia royal blood – can inherit the power of the Founding Titan. 

Those who have the power of the Founding Titan will be able to have powerful powers such as accessing people's memories, controlling Pure Titans, and performing genetic modifications.

In the wrong hands, the power of the Founding Titan can be a very destructive and dangerous weapon. 

And this is also the reason why then the Marley people tried to seize the power of the Founding Titan – besides they wanted to be more powerful in the world. 

However, there was a limit to the power of the Founding Titan.

Those who have this power are also bound by an oath or promise from the king of Fritz to stop the war. It's just that the oath applies to those who do have royal blood. 

Eren Jaeger does not have royal blood, which means he is not bound by the oath. 

This then makes Eren a threat to Marley's side, and even the whole world.

The second chapter of the fourth season 4 of the Attack on Titan series will showcase the true power of the Founding Titan, with Eren starting the Rumbling plan. 

However, he encountered an obstacle where he couldn't use all his strength because he wasn't a royal descendant. 

That's what made Eren finally cooperate with Zeke.
