4 Big Differences between the Anime Akame ga Kill and the Manga Version!
Anime ga Kill is a Japanese manga series written by Takahiro and illustrated by Tetsuya Tashiro which was published in 2010.
Then, in 2014 the manga was adapted into an anime produced by the studio White Fox.
Although the story starts from the manga, the anime version of Akame ga Kill ends first so there are differences in the ending.
Not only in terms of ending, the manga and anime versions of Akame ga Kill have some big differences in the storyline.
The storyline of Akame ga Kill begins with Tatsumi who goes to the Capital City to earn money to help his village escape the trap of poverty.
Until finally he knew that the Empire was a corrupt country.
Tatsumi decides to join Night Raid, a revolutionary organization.
What are the major plot differences between the manga and anime versions of Akame ga Kill?
Check out the following review!
Tatsumi's way of life
Although the title of this series is Akame, it is Tatsumi who feels like the main character because the story starts from Tatsumi's story.
If in the anime version, Tatsumi died in episode 23 for protecting the common people.
It's different in the manga, instead of dying Tatsumi stays alive and transforms into a dragon permanently.
In the manga version, Tatsumi managed to return to the village because he fused with Incursio and turned into a dragon.
At first Tatsumi had lost his mind, but he managed to regain consciousness thanks to Akame.
In the manga, Mine is still alive
The love story of Tatsumi and Mine sticks in the audience's memory in the midst of this sadistic anime.
Mine is Tatsumi's lover and a member of Night Raid.
Just like most of the other Night Raid members, Mine also died in episode 21.
However, that only happens in the anime version.
In the manga, Mine is in a coma and Tatsumi is very sure that his lover will wake up.
Sure enough, Mine woke up and they lived happily.
Even though Tatsumi turns into a dragon, they still live peacefully together and even have children.
Minister Honest's death is more brutal
The Prime Minister character is the most hated character in this series because he uses the Empire to become a corrupt country only for his own benefit.
Both the anime and manga versions, Honest's story ends tragically.
However, his fate is more terrible in the manga.
In the anime, Honest fights Leone to the death and Leone crushes his skull.
Unlike the manga, Honest is thrown from the balcony by Leone and caught by a crowd of soldiers.
They took turns mutilating Honest's body until Honest finally died in a horrific state.
Akames travel destination
After the Night Raid battle with the Empire was over, Akame went to the land of the East.
However, in anime and manga the goals are different.
In the anime, Akame left so that society could not blame Akame for the chaos caused by Night Raid.
In the anime version, Akame goes on a trip because he doesn't want the Empire to know that the revolutionary army employs an assassin.
Besides that, Akame is also looking for a cure for his sword curse while looking for a way so that Tatsumi can return to being a human.
Those are the 4 big differences between the anime and manga versions of Akame ga Kill, these differences are commonplace.
Although the storyline and ending provide significant differences, the audience can still enjoy the plot well.
