5 Characters Who Are Not Of The Uchiha Clan, But Have Sharingan!

In the Naruto series, the Sharingan is the Kekkei Genkai that belongs to the Uchiha clan. 

Sharingan is included in one of the Big Three Dojutsu as well as the reason why the Uchiha clan is so feared. 

Uniquely, the Sharingan owner doesn't always come from the Uchiha clan, you know!

1. Hagoromo Otsutsuki

Hagoromo Otsutsuki is the son of Kaguya Otsutsuki, as well as a ninja known as the God of Shinobi.

Hagoromo first awakened his Sharingan when he saw the death of the woman he loved.

2. Indra Otsutsuki

In the anime, it is stated that Hagoromo was the first to awaken the Sharingan. 

Meanwhile, Indra Otsutsuki is the first person to have the Sharingan in the manga version.

The manga version might make more sense, considering Indra is the ancestor of the Uchiha clan. 

Indra was also the first to awaken the Mangeky Sharingan. 

Indra's Sharingan is a mutation of Kaguya's Rinne Sharingan.

3. Kakashi Hatake

Kakashi Hatake was the first non Uchiha to be introduced to possessing the Sharingan. 

You could say, most of Kakashi's power comes from his Sharingan. 

Although he is quite skilled at using various jutsu, 

Kakashi will be even more dangerous when he "activates" his Sharingan.

Kakashi himself got his Sharingan in the Third Shinobi War. In the battle, Kakashi lost one of his eyes. 

While his partner, Obito Uchiha, was dying after being hit by a rock. 

Thinking that he would die, Obito gave one of his eyes to Kakashi as a gift.

Still in the same war, both of them witnessed Rin's death and both awakened the Mangeky Sharingan.

4. Black Zetsu

An accomplice to Kaguya, Black Zetsu was the one who influenced Madara to start the Fourth Shinobi War. 

After giving the Rinnegan to Madara, Black Zetsu received Obito's Mangeky Sharingan.

By possessing Obito's Mangeky Sharingan, Black Zetsu has access to use Kamui. 

However, Black Zetsu lost his ability after Obito managed to take over his own body.

5. Danzo Shimura

Danzo Shimura is known as the most disgusting character in the Naruto series. 

Despite his influence, Danzo is a bad person who is the mastermind behind the Uchiha clan massacre. 

You could say, the way Danzo got his Sharingan was also quite disgusting.

First, Danzo stole Shisui Uchiha's eye knowing that Shisui's Mangeky Sharingan had the power to stop the Uchiha's coup against Konoha. 

After the Uchiha clan massacre occurred, Danzo stole the Sharingan from the Uchiha clan's pile of corpses.

Danzo then teamed up with Orochimaru to plant the spy in his arm using Hashirama's cells. 

With the Sharingan in his arm, Danzo can use Izanagi, a move that allows the user to rewrite reality. 

With this move, Danzo was able to survive death many times even though in the end he was killed by Sasuke.

It is not surprising that the Uchiha clan is greatly feared because of its Sharingan. 

Even in non-Uchiha-blooded hands, the Sharingan remains an overpowered force.
