Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuta vs Yuji, Who's Stronger?

When the figure of Yuta Okkotsu was introduced in the Jujutsu Kaisen series, fans were immediately curious about the power he had. 

Yuta Okkotsu is said to be a magician with a special level, which is on the same level as the figure of Gojo Satoru. 

In addition, Yuta is also known to have an almost unlimited amount of curse energy.

The figure of Yuta Okkotsu also becomes the main protagonist in the prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 0. 

With all the extraordinary things about Yuta's figure, making fans finally wonder if Yuta Okkotsu is much greater than the main protagonist in the series, Yuji Itadori. 

Then, which of these two great characters is superior?

How Strong is Yuta Okkotsu

Talking about the level of strength of Yuta Okkotsu, although it has been introduced since the prequel, it is only in the last few chapters that Gege Akutami has presented his abilities. 

One of the things that stands out the most and that most fans know about is the almost unlimited power of the cursed energy, as mentioned above.

As discussed in the previous article, having unlimited curse energy means that Yuta can do power-ups, speed-ups, and all sorts of things without worrying about running out of curse energy. 

In addition, Yuta is also able to perform the Reversed Cursed Technique, a high-level technique that only great Jujutsu magicians can do.

Most recently, we saw how Yuta has a unique ability from Yuta which is able to imitate the abilities of others, such as imitating Toge Inumaki's techniques. 

Then, in the previous chapter we also saw how Yuta has the Domain Expansion ability which further proves that he is not an ordinary Jujutsu mage.

Finally, the most prominent figure from Yuta Okkotsu is the figure of Rika, the queen of all curses. 

Rika is a cursed monster who later becomes Yuta's partner or partner. 

The monster is actually a place to store the cursed energy of Yuta when in an emergency or under certain circumstances. 

Even though Rika is a dangerous cursed monster, under Yuta's control, Rika can turn into a terrible "weapon".

How Strong is Yuji Itadori

The main protagonist in the Jujutsu Kaisen series, Yuji Itadori, may not have the formidable superpowers that other Jujutsu wizards have. 

Yuji wasn't destined to become a Jujutsu wizard from the start, so it was only natural that he didn't have any curse energy or other curse techniques.

So far, Itadori had only used his Divergent Fist and Black Flash techniques. 

These two techniques are not curse techniques, but only the basic application of curse energy manipulation, which any Jujutsu magician can do. 

However, Gojo Satoru said that over time Itadori would develop his own technique.

In truth, although Yuji Itadori did not possess any curse techniques or energy, 

Yuji had his own advantages especially in physical strength. 

Yuji is not an ordinary high school boy. 

In the first chapter of the series, Yuji has proven that he is capable of throwing a 30-meter long shot. 

This epic ability even amazed Megumi Fushiguro's figure.

Yuji's physical strength has grown ever since he became a vessel for Sukuna. 

What's amazing is that he is also able to control Sukuna, which makes both Sukuna and Fushiguro surprised. 

Gojo Satoru once commented that in a thousand years, there is only one person who is born and is able to control Sukuna like Yuji's figure.

Who is the Strongest?

To answer who is the strongest between the two is not something easy. 

Not necessarily Yuta is much stronger than Yuji considering they are completely different. 

In chapter 140, the two of them met each other and fought one on one because Yuta was assigned to finish off Yuji.

The two fought each other for the first time and both were surprised that they were able to match each other's strength. 

In fact, the two of them were trying to increase their strength with each other. 

Based on Yuji's analysis, Yuta actually doesn't spend too much power to match Yuji. 

What Yuta excels at is the extremely powerful cursed energy.

Yuta managed to win the fight because of that and not because of his physical strength, where physical strength is the strength of Yuji's figure. 

Even so, it must be admitted that Yuta has much stronger strength than Yuji. 

Moreover, in the fight against Yuji, Yuta managed to finish off Yuji's figure after getting help from Rika.

So, in conclusion, Yuta Okkotsu is much stronger than Yuji Itadori.

Yuji Itadori still has a long way to go and is still developing to get better, and Yuji still has a lot of work to do to be on the same level of strength as Yuta. 

Even so, Yuji himself has undergone many major changes throughout the series, especially after the Shibuya Accident and most recently the Curling Game which is still running today.
