One Piece 1054 Spoilers: Not Garp's Son, The Dragon's Real Figure Are Heavenly Dragons?
A theory regarding Luffy's father, Monkey D. Dragon recently resurfaced ahead of the release of One Piece 1054.
The theory discusses the truth about whether Dragon is really the biological son of Monkey D. Garp or not.
With the manga series currently on hiatus following the release of One Piece 1054, One Piece fans will be turning their attention to wild theories while awaiting the return of Eiichiro Oda.
One of the latest theories circulating among fans is that Dragon is not believed to be Garp's biological son.
The theory is that Garp adopted Drago after the God Valley incident 38 years ago.
The God Valley incident is known to involve the Rocks pirates and their crew consisting of Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom against the Roger pirates, and Monkey D. Garp from the Marines.
The latter two parties are forced to work together against the Rocks pirates and their overwhelming power as the Marines' goal is to keep the Heavenly Dragons safe.
Due to an incident involving the safety of the Heavenly Dragons, the incident was later erased from history after the battle ended.
Only those present during the battle seemed to be aware of the incident.
The above-mentioned theory claims that Garp adopted Dragon after the God Valley incident.
Dragon was most likely the son of one of the Heavenly Dragon clans that died in the God Valley incident.
The theory later stated that Dragon married Garp's daughter, taking his surname and using her surname before their child, Luffy was born.
While his theory seems plausible and would also add tremendous depth to Dragon's saga that defies the comfort system he grew up in, there's one big flaw here.
In order to inherit Dragon as his own son, Garp had to adopt him at a fairly young age.
This meant that Dragon would have to be a child during the time of God Valley, likely to be less than ten years old.
However, Dragon would be 17 years old by the time of God Valley, making such a ruse impossible for Garp.
This is a major weakness in the theory which seems to neither admit nor even refute the issue.
As a result, it seems another interesting theory on the surface but can be completely debunked.
Therefore, it is certain that in One Piece 1054 later this theory about Dragon will never come true.
