Jujutsu Kaisen: Is Maki Zenin Domain Expansion Invulnerable?

The name of the Zenin clan is one of the most respected and reckoned clans in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen. 

They are one of the strongest Jujutsu wizard clans. Many great Jujutsu mages came from this clan. 

Even so, the fact is that this clan also has family members who are not Jujutsu magicians. One of them is Maki Zenin.

This 2nd grade student of Tokyo Jujutsu Vocational School is not a Jujutsu wizard, because she doesn't have any curse techniques or even curse energy within her. 

Even so, Maki always tries hard to be on par with other Jujutsu magicians with the strength she has. 

In this Culling Game arc, Maki returns with her new, much more powerful power.

Although still not familiar with her abilities, Maki insists that she is one of the dangerous Culling Game participants and deserves to be reckoned with.

Maki is Invulnerable to Domain Expansion Techniques

Maki's inability to sense the cursed energy and how she doesn't have the cursed energy, might be considered a major weakness. 

Moreover, Maki is in the world of Jujutsu magic. 

However, yesterday's chapter 198 revealed how Maki's weakness has become her strength. And also makes her one of the strongest characters in the series.

What does it mean? 

As it turned out, Maki's weakness made her invulnerable to high-level Domain Expansion techniques. 

In other words, the extraordinary technique had no effect on Maki. 

Before Maki finished off Naoya, Maki Zenin's opponent managed to activate her Domain Expansion, Time Cell Moon Palace.

At first, it seems that Maki is trapped and can't do anything in the Expansion Domain. 

She even got stuck with two other Culling Game players, Hagane Daido and Rokujishi Miyo. 

Naoya's curse technique, the Projection Sorcery, was able to affect the other two Jujutsu magicians, rendering them unable to move at all.

Become a Strong Character

With Maki not possessing curse energy, which basically curse energy is fundamental to Jujutsu magicians, it turns out to be a lifesaver. 

From this, we can conclude that Domain Expansion really has no effect on Maki, who has no curse energy at all.

Or it could be that the explanation is because Maki's curse energy is not as much as the others. 

In this case, Maki's cursed energy amounted to the same as an inanimate object. 

Based on this, Domain Expansion or Naoya considers Maki not a "living being" but an inanimate object. 

Thus, Maki was able to enter or exit anyone's Domain Expansion at will.

Does it mean that a strong Domain Expansion like Gojo's Infinitive Void or Mahito's Self-Embodiment of Perfection will also be ineffective against Maki? 

The answer is yes. 

What appears in chapter 198 provides another picture of the difference between Maki Zenin and other magicians.
