One Piece Spoiler: The Secret Is Revealed! The Pirate King Gol D Roger's Ship Is Connected To Egghead Island

One of One Piece mystery connected to the Pirate King has finally been revealed.

This is thanks to the new island where the Straw Hat Pirates landed during their adventure: Egghead.

while the name of the island refers to the fact that the greatest genius in the world, Dr. Vegapunk, lives there.

It may also be linked to the mysterious giant egg seen aboard the Pirate King, Gol D Roger.

In One Piece's most interesting flashback sequence, volume 96 shows the final chapter of Gol D'Roger's journey.

It was when he finally reached the hidden island of Laugh Tale and claimed One Piece, becoming the Pirate King.

During the sequence, several panels show Roger's ship, the Oro Jackson, with an unusual feature: a giant egg on deck.

No explanation has been given by writer Eiichiro Oda, so fans are going wild with the most different theories about the mysterious egg.

Now, it looks like the obscure One Piece snippet is finally getting an explanation.

In Chapter 1061 of One Piece, Luffy and the Straw Hat crew arrive at the next stop of their journey in the Grand Line: Egghead.

The island houses the laboratory of Dr. Vegapunk, the World Government's top scientist, and other highly mysterious characters who have created the world's most advanced technology, including the cyborg Pacifista.

The name of the island may simply refer to Vegapunk, as "egg head" is a colloquial term for a smart person or scientist.

But everything always has a deeper meaning in One Piece.

In the only panel that shows a full view of the island, a giant object resembling a broken egg dominates the scene.

Even if the view was shrouded in mist, it could be the same egg that Gol D. Roger carried on his ship.

Even more interesting, the eggs in Egghead look cracked, meaning that whatever was inside had hatched.

The fan theory believes that the creature is a dragon because One Piece has made several references to this mythological creature.

World Nobles, the most powerful authorities in the world, called themselves Heavenly Dragons, and their crests resembled dragon claws.

Vegapunk himself, who works for the World Government, has created an artificial dragon (seen by the Straw Hats in Punk Hazard).

He also extracted the DNA of Kaido, who can transform into a dragon thanks to his Devil Fruit, in an attempt to imitate him.

According to some fans, the dragon that hatched from the egg could be Uranus, the last Ancient Weapon.

While there won't be any confirmation of this theory for at least a few more chapters, it would be too much of a coincidence if this giant egg had nothing to do with the one in Oro Jackson.

Nevertheless, One Piece fans will soon find out what creature hatched from the egg and why the Pirate King Roger brought it on his ship.
