One Piece 1068: Portgas D Ace Comes Back to Life? Oda Sensei Gives This Statement!

The issue of the 'return' of Portgas D Ace in One Piece 1068 surfaced in a One Piece fanbase platform reviewing the results of a magazine interview with Eiichiro Oda.

It was Oda Sensei's answer in the interview that later became the headline and was said to be a sign that Portgas D Ace would appear in One Piece 1068.

One of the most horrendous predictions is that in One Piece 1068 later, Portgas D Ace will 'return'!

The prediction that Portgas D Ace will appear in One Piece 1068 began when one of the One Piece fanbase platforms reviewed the results of an interview with Eiichiro Oda, at Jump Fiesta 2011.

The reason is in the interview, Eiichiro Oda expressed his regret for having 'killed' Portgas D Ace in a hard way.

“I got angry after watching the anime where Portgas D Ace died. I wonder why Ace had to be killed in such a hard way," said Eiichiro Oda at the time.

Suddenly the answer from Eiichiro Oda provoked the interviewer's response and asked if there was a possibility that Portgas D Ace would be revived.

Then, Eiichiro Oda said, "Portgas D Ace will always live and accompany Luffy."

His words really shocked One Piece fans and hoped that there would be a 'way' that Eiichiro Oda would later appear in his manga to bring Portgas D Ace to life.

Especially right now, Luffy and friends are with Dr. Vegapunk; the genius scientist of the World Government who allegedly knows many world secrets.

It is not impossible that Dr Vegapunk also knows the secret of why the Gorosei look 'durable' to those who are said to be very old.

Not to mention if Dr Vegapunk also knows the secret of Im Sama who is said to have lived since the time of Joy Boy aka the century of emptiness.

If indeed Eiichiro Oda intends to revive Portgas D Ace, then according to One Piece 1068 fans, this is the right time.

Unfortunately, in another interview with a magazine, Eiichiro Oda confirmed that he also hates resurrecting dead characters.

"I hate the resurrection of the DEAD in manga," said Eiichiro Oda.

Furthermore, Eiichiro Oda said that if a comic artist/mangaka resurrects a dead character, then that character shouldn't have to be killed from the start.

Eiichiro Oda's statement seems to have dashed the hopes of fans who want Portgas D Ace to appear in One Piece 1068.

However, Eiichiro Oda guarantees that Portgas D Ace will remain 'alive', as it was during the Onigashima plot.

"Flashbacks about Portgas D Ace will continue to accompany Luffy, because he (Portgas D Ace) has been adventuring in the ocean two years before Luffy.

So, naturally, he has met many characters," said Eiichiro Oda.
