One Punch Man: New Power, Genos Can Beat Saitama!

In the world of cinema, sidekick is a term used to refer to a hero who becomes a companion to the main hero. 

The sidekick character also has a role that is no less important in supporting the storyline and the success of the main hero character. 

Not infrequently this sidekick character actually attracts more attention and is preferred by some people compared to the main hero character. 

This is what also happened to Genos, a sidekick who is also Saitama's only student in the One Punch Man series.

This handsome, blond cyborg has attracted the attention of many One Punch Man manga readers because of his uniqueness and strength which is no less great than his teacher. 

Genos first met Saitama when he was fighting a monster that could control hordes of mosquitoes to suck the blood from living things which would become the source of his strength. 

When he saw Saitama who suddenly appeared in a simple home-made T-shirt, Genos ordered him to take cover immediately because he thought that Saitama was just an ordinary city dweller. 

Genos then continued his fierce battle against the monster which turned out to have become stronger thanks to the blood collected by the mosquitoes he controlled. 

Genos was overwhelmed and thought that he no longer had any hope of winning. At the last second, it occurred to Genos to blow himself up as a last resort to destroy the monster, even at the cost of his own life. 

At that moment, Saitama reappeared and instantly managed to take down the monster with just one punch. 

Genos, who saw this incident, immediately asked Saitama to take him as a student. 

Either because he felt sorry for Genos who was dying and falling to pieces, Saitama agreed even though he looked a little regretful afterwards.

Genos has been trying to find out what makes Saitama strong until now.

Early Life of Genos

In the One Punch Man storyline, it was explained how the early life of Genos before becoming the cyborg he is now. 

At first, he was an ordinary 15 year old boy who was no different from the others.

However, then disaster strikes where a cyborg/robot that goes out of control attacks the city.

The robot completely destroys all the houses and everything in the city where Genos lives. 

Almost everyone in the city was killed by the robot attack. Genos himself should have died. 

However, thanks to the help of a scientist, Dr. Kuseno, Genos finally managed to rise again from the death in a new "figure".

As we know, Dr. Kuseno turned Genos into a cyborg to save his life. 

Since then, the relationship between Dr. Kuseno and Genos grew up as if they were father and son. 

The two of them then work together to track down the whereabouts of the crazy Cyborg. 

For about four years, Genos has been trying to find out about the cyborg that destroyed his city and took his life, but always failed. In fact, there is absolutely no information about it.

Become a Saitama Student

In his adventure to find information about this terrible robot, Genos accidentally meets Saitama. 

At that time, Genos was fighting against a monster named Mosquito Girl. Genos himself seemed overwhelmed by the monster, because his strength wasn't as advanced as it is now. 

However, Genos was shocked to see that Saitama could destroy the monster with just one strike.

Intrigued by how Saitama did it, Genos decided to learn from Saitama. Genos asks Saitama to take him as a student.

And so far, Genos is the only student accepted by Saitama.

For Genos, all the training that Saitama gave might provide an improvement over something else. However, not with physical strength like humans.
