This handsome, blond cyborg has attracted the attention of many One Punch Man manga readers because of his uniqueness and strength which is no less great than his teacher.
Genos first met Saitama when he was fighting a monster that could control hordes of mosquitoes to suck the blood from living things which would become the source of his strength.
When he saw Saitama who suddenly appeared in a simple home-made T-shirt, Genos ordered him to take cover immediately because he thought that Saitama was just an ordinary city dweller.
Genos then continued his fierce battle against the monster which turned out to have become stronger thanks to the blood collected by the mosquitoes he controlled.
Genos was overwhelmed and thought that he no longer had any hope of winning. At the last second, it occurred to Genos to blow himself up as a last resort to destroy the monster, even at the cost of his own life.
At that moment, Saitama reappeared and instantly managed to take down the monster with just one punch.
Genos, who saw this incident, immediately asked Saitama to take him as a student.
Either because he felt sorry for Genos who was dying and falling to pieces, Saitama agreed even though he looked a little regretful afterwards.
Genos has been trying to find out what makes Saitama strong until now.
Genos wants to beat and surpass Satama.
Can Genos do it?
Early Life of Genos
The robot completely destroys all the houses and everything in the city where Genos lives.
Almost everyone in the city was killed by the robot attack. Genos himself should have died.
However, thanks to the help of a scientist, Dr. Kuseno, Genos finally managed to rise again from the death in a new "figure".
As we know, Dr. Kuseno turned Genos into a cyborg to save his life.
Since then, the relationship between Dr. Kuseno and Genos grew up as if they were father and son.
The two of them then work together to track down the whereabouts of the crazy Cyborg.
For about four years, Genos has been trying to find out about the cyborg that destroyed his city and took his life, but always failed. In fact, there is absolutely no information about it.
Become a Saitama Student
Intrigued by how Saitama did it, Genos decided to learn from Saitama. Genos asks Saitama to take him as a student.
Initially, Saitama objected to this.
However, after repeated discussions and doing other things, Saitama finally accepted Genos as his student.
And so far, Genos is the only student accepted by Saitama.
Suiryu once tried to ask Saitama to accept him as a student, but he refused.
Every time Genos asks for a training menu to make him stronger, Saitama always presents various ridiculous and ridiculous exercises.
This was only presented so that Genos could be happy and think that he had learned a lot.
Even so, it's not uncommon for Saitama to actually give Genos instructions or advice on how to be a hero. Or how to be a strong figure.
By becoming a student of Saitama, many fans are curious about the future of Genos and Saitama as well.
Will Genos be able to surpass Saitama in the future?
Can Genos Surpass Saitama?
Even though Genos already has quite powerful strength, he still feels lacking with everything he has.
He is known to have incredible speed, where he is even considered as one of the fastest characters in the series.
Not to mention the various epic attacks, as shown in the Monster Association arc yesterday.
Even though Genos is a strong figure who can defeat many strong enemies, it must be admitted that he still has many shortcomings.
For example, Genos doesn't have the human side development that most of his enemies usually have.
In this case, Genos will definitely not be able to improve either in ability or strength.
Someone – in this case is a human – who has experienced strenuous training and also various extreme conditions will usually feel an increase in strength. Starting from endurance, attack power, and so on.
For Genos, all the training that Saitama gave might provide an improvement over something else. However, not with physical strength like humans.
Why? Because, Genos has no human element in him.
He was completely dependent on the technology he invented. Genos could still develop, but at a very slow pace.
On the other hand, Genos is also skeptical that all the training methods provided by Saitama will be able to increase his strength.
Because, he himself wasn't sure if it was the training menu that made Saitama stronger.
Apart from the things that are also mentioned, one important factor that needs to be noted is about Saitama's character.
How no one was able to hurt Saitama made Genos' chances of surpassing his mentor so small or even zero.
No matter how Genos tries, Saitama will always be able to beat him with just one punch or strike.
So, is Genos capable of surpassing Saitama?
The answer is very unlikely.
Even though Genos won't be able to surpass Saitama's power level, he can still be someone who is no less powerful than Saitama.
Being the student of the strongest character in the series, of course, makes Genos need to prove his level of strength to people.
So, even though he won't be able to surpass Saitama, Genos can be a figure whose strength level is one level below him.
