Synopsis Horimiya: The Missing Pieces, A Side Story

Summer 2023 is the season that Horimiya fans have been waiting for, especially. This is because the anime adapted from the popular romance manga by HERO leaves several 'obligations' that need to be fulfilled.

However, instead of a sequel, fans will be presented with a side story that raises the title Horimiya: Piece or Horimiya: The Missing Pieces.

1. Synopsis Horimiya: The Missing Pieces

Horimiya: Piece or Horimiya: The Missing Pieces tells about some of the main plots of the original manga that have not been adapted and are told in the Horimiya anime series.

Previously, there were several manga chapters that had been skipped so they had not appeared in the anime version.

Horimiya tells a schoolgirl-style romantic story represented by the characters Izumi Miyamura and Kyouko Hori.

They were two students who wore different 'faces' between school and outside, where no one could see that.

Hori and Miyamura's relationship began when the two met outside of school. They agreed to keep each other's secrets, and then began to build a relationship that they might never have expected.

2. Staff and voice cast list

Like Horimiya, the anime series Horimiya: The Missing Pieces is again being worked on by the anime studio CloverWorks. In addition, there is Masashi Ishihama who is the director and Takao Yoshioka who wrote the scenario.

Apart from the production staff, a line of voice actors from the anime Horimiya also participated in this side story work. Among them are Haruka Tomatsu and Kouki Uchiyama who each play the two protagonists of the story, namely Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura.

Not only that, Yurie Kozakai (Yuki Yoshikawa), Daisuke Ono (Kyousuke Hori), Momo Asakura (Honoka Sawada), Jun Fukuyama (Akane Yanagi), Seiichiro Yamashita (Tooru Ishikawa), Mao Ichimichi (Remi Ayasaki), Daiki Yamashita (Shuu Iura), and Reina Kondou (Sakura Kouno) are also back in this anime series project.

3. Horimiya: The Missing Pieces broadcast schedule

Equally adapting the main story in the manga, Horimiya: Piece is another part of the Horimiya anime which aired in Winter 2021.

Horimiya: The Missing Pieces will present several stories that have not yet appeared in the Horimiya anime.

Horimiya: The Missing Pieces will premiere on Saturday, 1 July 2023 and will reportedly consist of 13 episodes.
